No.95 Toyagasaki Park
Toyagasaki Park is located on the ruins of the former Hanamaki Castle keep, which was also called Toyagasaki Castle. A row of sakura stands near the park, and traces of the park’s former castle days can still be seen in the park’ stone wall and moat. Restored in 1992, the West Gate is built on higher ground and provides a perfect viewing spot for the park’s somei yoshino cherry trees. The park fills with locals when the sakura are in bloom from mid- to late April.
