Along the Sarugaishi River about a ten-minute drive from Tono Station is a row of more than 100 somei yoshino sakura that stretch for 1.2 kilometers. A cycling path runs along the river and the row of sakura. Rental cycles are available in Tono City for a leisurely excursion to admire the blossoms, the river and distant mountains. The sakura bloom from late April to early May.
