No.57 Hanamaki Hot Springs
Hanamaki Onsen was developed in 1923 and has become popular for its hot springs and recreation. In spring it attracts visitors to its approximately 1,000 sakura including somei yoshino, deep pink weeping benishidarezakura, and double-blossomed yaezakura. The sakura here bloom a little later than in Hanamaki City, giving locals two chances to enjoy the blossoms. Many writers have favored the hot springs, and monuments to them can be found here.
