No.87 World’s Longest Cherry Tree Row and Sakurabayashi Park

At the southern foot of Mt. Iwaki lies a 20-kilometer row of some 6,500 oyamazakura that were planted over a 10-year period starting in 1985. A walking path from Komoriyama-iriguchi bus stop to Dake Hot Spring Village offers charming scenery, and a free hot spring footbath awaits at Iwaki Sanpokan near the path. Sakurabayashi Park is located next to the Komoriyama-iriguchi bus stop and features around 1,000 somei yoshino that form a sakura tunnel in bloom.
