No.80 Tateno Park
The origins of 18-hectare Tateno Park go back to 1905, when yamazakura were first planted here. Around 1,500 sakura also including somei yoshino and yamazakura bloom here starting in late April. The charming park features Satsuki-numa Pond, where visitors can fish and rent boats, and views of the snow-capped Hakkoda Mountains. The Rokunohe Spring Festival kicks off at Kumano-jinja Shrine and features traditional performing arts and singing shows among other events during Golden Week.
