No.83 Hayakake-numa Pond Park
The expansive Hayakake-numa Pond Park bursts into bloom each year with around 500 tulips and some 360 somei yoshino and other sakura varieties such as yaezakura and gyoiko, a rare variety with light green blossoms, blooming in turn. The Mutsu Sakura Festival held during Golden Week, with its red lanterns, band concerts and other events, ensures a lively atmosphere. The park features lots of open space for relaxing and leisure as well as cabins and camping facilities nearby.
