Standing in a field on a small hill, a lone somei yoshino stands tall. A Shinto shrine used to be located here but was moved to another location, but the shrine’s sakura remains standing in all its glory against the blue sky. Local come to enjoy this beauty each spring from late April to early May. The tree has also been featured in a movie starring Joe Odagiri.
