No.63 Lone Cherry Tree at Koiwai Farm

Standing all by itself in a bucolic green pasture is an edohigan sakura said to be around 100 years old. It is 20 meters tall, with a trunk circumference of 3.5 meters and branches spreading out six meters. With snow-covered Mt. Iwate and green pastures all around, a visit to the lone sakura as well as nearby Makiba Park and its row of sakura will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
