No.76 Goshonodai Fureai Park

Goshonodai Fureai Park is located on the southern side of Shirakami-Sanchi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes the last virgin forest of Siebold’s beech. The park is situated on a hill overlooking the Japan Sea and just a one-minute walk from Akita-Shirakami Station. Around 800 sakura bloom here slightly late, from late April to mid-May. Visitors can enjoy evening illuminations from paper lanterns and events and games during Happo Sakura Festival.
