No.72 Senshu Park

The site of the town’s castle ruins, Senshu Park still has a guardhouse built in the 1700s as well as a reconstructed watchtower and front gate. Along with these historical buildings, visitors can enjoy around 700 sakura, primarily somei yoshino with some yamazakura, and double-blossomed yaezakura as well. The park has deservingly earned the title of one of Japan’s 100 Top Cherry Blossom Spots. Senshu Park Sakura Festival is also held each year from mid- to late April.
